Rage 'N' Age

A classic rock band playing music from the 60's, 70's, 80's and early 90's, appealing to all age groups with a unique "band to audience" connection.  Their sets all run about one hour each.  Their goal is to keep you dancing all night long.  You get your money's worth from these guys.

This five piece band consists of:

Dave Britton - Drums, Vocals, Management Dave has been playing drums in bands for over 20 years.  A native of New Hampshire, he has played from Mass to New Hampshire to Vermont, playing many styles of music in different cover bands.  He is a steady drummer who holds the rhythm section together and keeps the band tight.  Some of the bands he has played with are, "Badder Four", "Ruff Cut", "Bausinister", "Culpret" and "Rock Housen".  He started "Rage N Age" about eight years ago.
Jim Riordan - Multi Keyboards, Vocals, Management

Jim was taught piano by Nuns from 1st to 6th grade, (and they still haven't recovered).  He started playing guitar, (like all good hippies), professionally in 1965.  Switched to keyboards in 1970 and played full time, (5-6 nights a week), till the mid 80's when disco and DJ's put a lot of bands out of business.  After playing part time for a few years, he joined up with "Rage 'N' Age".  Some previous bands he played with:  "Tyler Mudge", "The Works", "Willie & the Works", "The Operators", "Five Days & a Night".  Jim joined "Rage 'N' Age" in 2000.
Gary Gagnon - Lead Vocals, keyboards, percussion

Gary has been involved in performance since his elementary school days when he first picked up the accordion and learned Lady of Spain.  Since then he has been involved in singing and playing in a variety of venues and genres. Gary played in a twenty piece big band, a four piece blues band and several other performance groups. Taking to the stage he performed as a vocalist and actor in many different plays and revues. Gary is a keyboardist as well as a percussionist but really loves singing the best. He is the proud father of a drumming son, who recently married a french horn playing wife.  Gary also has another son who is an accomplished DJ, and a daughter who is in the high school chorus. His influences are Billy Joel, BB King and the Commitments. He reminds the audience and fans that there is an old rock and roll tradition of throwing paper money and Travelers ChecksŪ into the bass drum for good luck.  Gary joined "Rage 'N' Age" in October 2006.

Bob Michaud - Rhythm, Lead & Bass Guitar, Vocals  Bob has been playing lead and rhythm guitar for 20+ years.  He occasionally fills in on bass as well.  In the late 70's, he played in his first band called "Pure Rush".  In 1980 along with Gene Richard, his future brother-in-law, formed a Beverly, Mass. Southern Rock band, featuring dual lead guitars, called "Open Road".   After 4+ years of full time they split up only to regroup the following year for a reunion which never stopped.  They got together at least once a year into the mid 1990's when they started playing out regularly again in the north shore area.  They finally called it quits around the end of 2000.  After a couple of years off, Bob once again joined up with his brother-in-law, Gene, in "Rage 'N' Age" in the summer of 2002.
Gene Richard - Bass, Rhythm, & Lead Guitar, Vocals.  Gene has been playing lead, rhythm and/or bass guitar for about 40+ years.  His main influence was his Dad and uncle, who played country music together. It led to his love for southern rock.  His first band in 1969 was called "Grand Council Review".  In the 1970's he played guitar and bass, as well as writing some original songs with a Southern Rock band from the Swampscott, Mass. called "Lapwing", playing from the upper Cape to Maine.  After a couple of years off, he met his future brother-in-law, Bob Michaud, and formed a Beverly, Mass. band called "Open Road" in 1980, again playing Southern Rock and featuring dual lead guitars, and he wrote a few more original songs.   They stayed together off and on for about 20 years before finally calling it quits in 2000.  After a short stint in 2001, filling in on bass guitar with a Kittery, Maine band called "Another Round", featuring Karrie Burnett and Jim Desharnes, from "Jim & Karrie", he joined up with "Rage 'N' Age" on bass/lead guitar in December, 2001.
